Check out the latest addition to my home tiki bar's rum collection—a new 12-year-old beauty! 🍹 I couldn't resist grabbing it after spotting it at the liquor store. I gave it a whirl alongside some of my favs, like the Appleton 8-year and El Dorado 12-year. This one had quite a kick and a lighter texture, but the nose was a delight with enticing dark ripe fruit notes.
Mixed it into a Commando Grog, and wow, what a fantastic concoction! The rum blended beautifully, even if it didn’t pinch the funky vibes I sometimes crave in a tiki drink. 🙌 Overall, a solid addition to any tiki enthusiast's lineup, even if not my top choice over some classics.
